1. AN OFFICIAL IN THE KHARKIV REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION DID NOT DECLARE HIS WIFE’S BUSINESS ALONG WITH MILLIONS OF HRYVNAS SHE OWNS
Vadim Varvyaniskiy, Deputy Head of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources did not declare his wife’s company with UAH 990 thousand capital contribution as well as money on her bank account. In his declaration Varvianskiy indicated that his wife has 125 square meters apartment in ‘Dom Na Naberezhnoy’ (Дом на Набережной) condominium which she purchased for UAH 1.22 million in 2014. She also owns ‘BMW X5’
2. KHARKIV METRO PAID DOUBLE AND TRIPLE PRICE FOR WORK MITTENS
In late May Kharkiv Metro has signed a contract with a private entrepreneur Borovytskiy Oleksiy Dmytrovysh totalling UAH 512.56 thousand on purchasing of mittens and gloves.Metro has paid UAH 52.42 for a pair of mittens (VAT excluded) whereas State Enterprise ‘Morskoy Torgovelnyy Port ‘Chernomorsk’ has bought the same mittens at UAH 37 apiece (VAT excluded), and Cherkassy division of PAT Tsentrenergo has paid UAH 29.7 (VAT included) apiece. The similar overpayment takes place with the rest of the products bought by Metro.
3. CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-STOREY BUILDINGS BEGINS IN LISOPARK (KHARKIV CITY FOREST) NEXT TO THE ‘NASHA DACHA’ RESTAURANT
TOV C-INVEST has submitted two declarations on the beginning of construction of two multi-storey buildings on parcels of land which had been transferred into private ownership using the so called ‘cooperative scheme. It is planned to erect them on parcels of land that belong to an individual Zhuravel Serhiy Vitaliyovych. Along with Andriy Myroslavovych Balyuk he is a founder of OK (Service cooperative) Sadovo-Horodniy kooperativ ‘Lisne’. Myroslav Balyuk (apparently father of Andriy Balyuk) belongs to the closest entourage of Ihor Arih – a Kharkiv City Council member and main beneficiary of the so called ‘cooperative scheme’. TOV C-Invest specializes in construction of a top-class housing where prices start from UAH 30 thousand per square meter.
4. BODIES FOR TRAMS BOUGHT BY ODESSA AND ZAPORIZHZHIA ARE TWICE AS CHEAP AS THOSE BOUGHT BY KHARKIV
In February 2017 Kharkiv Municipal Enterprise ‘Saltivske Tramvayne Depo’ have purchased from a TOV Tehnologii
Elektrotransportu five tram car bodies of T-3 type totalling UAH 42 million. Thus, in Kharkiv 1 tram body costs UAH 8.4 mln
Absolutely identical tram bodies in Zaporizhzhia were purchased at UAH 4.33 million. Same tram bodies in Odessa were purchased for UAH 4.29 million
5. A COMPANY THAT ALREADY PERFORMED OVERPRICED WORKS FOR MUNICIPALITY WILL RECEIVE ANOTHER 1.5 MILLION CONTRACT ON REPAIR OF A GARDEN IN KHARKIV CENTER
Department of Utilities And Amenities of Kharkiv City Council has signed a contract with a TOV BK Spetsbudtehnoligiya (ТОВ «БК «Спецбудтехнологія») on repair works worth UAH 1.49 mln. The contractor is to perform major repairs of a green space on Sumskaya str. Recently TOV BK Spetsbudtehnologiya has performed overpriced works in accordance with a contract signed with a Specialized Municipal Enterprise Kharkivzelenbud. The contract was on building of a root irrigation system and cost UAH 1.65 mln
